Sidney Crosby Takes BP with Pirates, Immediately Becomes Best Hitter on Field

Sidney Crosby took batting practice with the Pirates today, and guess what? He's good at that, too.

Along with a number of his Penguin teammates, #87 took to the field at PNC Park on Wednesday afternoon for a few friendly rounds of BP, and after a few impressive swings sent a ball 370 feet and into the right-field seats.

“It was halfway up the deck there above the Clemente Wall – pretty impressive,” former Pirates first baseman Sean Casey said.

Other Penguins trying a different sport for a day included Marc-Andre Fleury, Mike Rupp, Pascal Dupuis, Max Talbot, Chris Kunitz, and Matt Cooke.

Casey was also on hand, as was Pirate 2B Neil Walker and manager John Russell, who immediately attempted to insert Crosby into his lineup for tonight's game before being told that the slugger was out of the team's budget.

The Steelers should look into starting him behind center for September.

If you look closely, you can see Big Ben raping somebody in the right field bleachers.
