Papa Taillon told the PG that son Jameson Taillon has autographed his contract with the Pirates, and Jen Langosch reported that the team has reached terms with second-rounder Stetson Allie. Sounds like a profitable night for the Hendricks brothers. More to come as details are available.

I wonder how these two feel about everything now that they're signed? I'd imagine it feels like winning the mega-millions lottery only to find out you'll be paid in loose change and have to spend it all at the dollar store.
Either way, it is encouraging. Both of these guys are projected to be Aces and the sooner they get to PGH the sooner we start to turn it around. If these guys don't work out, pretty much every scout and analyst will have turned out to have been wrong in their assessments.
I would still like to see a top of the rotation veteran added this offseason.
Burress,
That would be great, but the FA pool is pretty thin and overpaid this off-season. And by thin and overpaid, I'm talking $10M+/year for Bronson Arroyo.
I would be happy to see us bring in any decent pitching to bolster the bullpen or rotation. Obviously no more crap wash-ups, but NH did a decent job of assembling a half-decent bullpen last winter.
Oh thank God! Nice to get a consensus top 3 talent with the second pick AND a consensus top 10 talent with the 52nd pick! This is a great great day for the pirates future. Now, keep them healthy & don't hire dave kerwin to coach in the minor leagues!
And a win at the major league level too? Nice start out of James MacDonald, big hits out of Cutch/Pedro(against a LHP!)/GI Jones. Let's win some more damn road games!!! Let's go BUCS!
