Big Lead Sports Bar

Tyler Palko, the former West Allegheny HS and Pitt Panther QB who had a cup of coffee with the Steelers last season, has also been with the Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints, the UFL's California Redwoods and the CFL's Montreal Alouettes in his pro career. But today, Palko is the newest addition to Kansas City's roster, as per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Palko will start no higher than fourth on the team's depth chart at QB, behind incumbent Matt Cassel, former Alabama QB Brodie Croyle, and third-stringer Matt Gutierrez. He will be playing for another fellow Yinzer, former Upper St. Clair standout and Chiefs head coach Todd Haley, with the newly-added Charlie Weis as offensive coordinator. That being said, he will again be facing an uphill battle to make the team.

Incidentally, Palko has appears to have a very under-the-radar Twitter account with only four updates and 13 followers to date. We'll have to keep our eyes on it for any additional news on his newest career move.
