Leading off...a few Halloween leftovers from the inbox:

--And of course, there's this...
--The Vikings, fresh off a defeat at Heinz Field, took it to the Green Bay Packers in the Favre Bowl yesterday. But I was more fascinated at the talk throughout the week about how the town was somewhat divided on Favre. Really, Green Bay? I can tell you this, the minute Big Ben signs with the Ravens when he's 39 years old, I'm officially off the Benwagon. [ESPN]
--Pitt was trailing Slippery Rock 20-13 with 9:13 left in the first half, but rallied for a 75-64 victory yesterday at the Pete. Freshman phenom Dante Taylor had 27 and 9 off the bench, which he will see very little of this year. [PG]
--The Penguins are heading west this week, and here's a scary bit of trivia from the Trib:
--Pitt officially came out at 13th in the BCS, one behind USC and two behind Penn State. It's going to be an interesting November. [Fox]
--Ryan Clark has been cleared to play in Denver, but he hasn't made up his mind yet. Honestly, I'm surprised he's even considering it. [KDKA]
--The Pirates brought former infielder Carlos Garcia back, this time as a first base coach. I'm sure he will make all the difference next season. He was a 1994 All Star, you know! [Pirates.com]
--Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway are spotted by Channel 11 filming a new movie in the suddenly hot location of Pittsburgh. Hopefully they don't get hit by a Pittsburgh firetruck like Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks did a few weeks ago. [WPXI]

Dating back to 1999, the Penguins are 1-13 with one tie in California. They haven't won in Anaheim since Dec. 10, 1997 and have not won in San Jose since Oct. 22, 1997. Evgeni Malkin's 2006 overtime game-winner in Los Angeles gave the Penguins their first road win against the Kings since 1999.Let's hope things go differently this time around.

The costume looked stupid but the chick looked real nice.
The boos Farve got was nothing compared to what Bradshaw would have gotten if he signed with the Raiders, Browns, Cowboys, etc. I'm pretty sure some upset yinzer would have thrown a brick at him if that happened.
Anyway, the only QB who needed booed in that game was Rodgers.
How is Pittsburgh going to react when the Cowher led Carolina Panthers invade Heinz Field in 2011?
Judging by the hysterical whining and name calling when he dared to root for the Hurricanes, I'm sure all the ingrates here will boo him, too.
Seeing as how the Steelers are probably a better team now, than at any point when Cowher was coach, makes me believe that most Stiller fans whose IQ is higher than that of their blood alcohol content won't really mind that much and will cheer more than boo. I know I would.
Obviously in hindsight, Cowher leaving Pittsburgh was the best thing that could have happened at the time. The change and fresh thinking that Tomlin brought kept them moving forward instead of stagnating with The Chin and is something the Titans should look real hard at doing themselves.
18 years with the same coach and no Super Bowl is about 5 years too long IMO and Cowher was very fortunate to get it done in his time.
Why are we talking about football? Who is that chick?
That chick is hot.
I found a Packers post game show online, and it was disturbing how many 'ex Packer fans' and now self described 'Favre fans' were calling into the show talking smack.
I can't think of any Steeler that would make me act that way. Even after the Pirates mess the last 17 years I can't pick another team.
Enough talking about that. The chick is hot.
anyone else find it scary that pitt was losing to a D-II team for a good chunk of the game yesterday?
I will find that chick and make her mine.
LOL - Yeah more of the chick's costume.
