James Harrison Covers Sports Illustrated, Again

Mr. James "Silverback" Harrison, Steeler linebacker extraordinaire graces the cover of this week's SI, the second time he has had such an honor in just a few months. But looking at the two covers side-by-side is pretty amusing. I suppose it's now OK for the magazine that used him as the Big Hit Poster Child to glowingly describe him as "fearsome" since all that concussion hysteria has died down and everyone wants players to stay in the game with damaged knee ligaments. Oh, how the tides have turned in a couple weeks, dear worried-about-players'-safety crowd. You had a nice 15 minutes, though.

Wow. That fanhouse article about playing with an injured knee is very laughable. What a hack. He actually compared being a beer league ice hockey goalie to cutler playing in the NFL. Unbelievable.

Great call on the hypocrisy in these two covers. What a joke that whole issue is. Need a big game from JH and his boys though to match Clay Matthews & Co.

SI and the rest of major sports media have a 5 second memory, thats why the hypocrisy.

This is not the matchup I wanted. Chicago is way more beatable than Green Bay. The Packers are problematic.

If you took all the words off and made us guess which cover included the phrase "brings the hammer", who would've gotten that right?

Suck BS. A few weeks ago, hard hitting was a crime against humanity. But, i guess, Sir Silverback has altered his style of play from hard hitting to 'fearsome' & 'bringing' of 'hammers'? ...did i miss something?

@Jon - Hence why i don't read Fanhouse!

@ nuthinhere - amen... i think aaron rodgers is the second best under-30 QB in the league (I know, stop the presses!!! sorry, didn't mean to blow your mind). This should make for an awesome, down-to-the-wire super bowl!!! in the words of bartholomew scott: "CANT WAIT!"

The whole "Bears are beatable, I wanted to play them" thing is a little bit...uh...self-contradictory.

Obviously they're beatable. That's why they lost after only winning against 8-10 Seattle at home.
