Former Penguins were all over the news yesterday, as BILL GUERIN was released by Philadelphia, and RUSLAN FEDOTENKO scored a deal with the New York Rangers worth $1 million for this season. [USA Today]

Speaking of the PENGUINS, they have many a role player among their free agents to be, including Pascal Dupuis, Mike Rupp, Eric Godard, Arron Asham, Craig Adams, Mike Comrie, and Ryan Craig. How's that going to affect the team? [Trib]

Didn't get to mention this in the wake of Steelers-Ravens, but during the Pirates' 105th and final loss on Sunday, RONNY CEDENO was wearing the wrong jersey. Naturally. [Big League Stew]

With the departure of JOHN RUSSELL, who's next in line for the coveted spot of Pittsburgh Pirate Manager? A few early names. [WHYGAVS]

AKI IWAMURA has been released by the A's, opening the door for his return via free agency to the Pirates next season. [MLB Trade Rumors]

Here's an update on Pirates playing in Japan this season. I was wondering what Chris Bootcheck was up to... [Bucs Dugout]

YOUTH WITH A MISSION, a Belle Vernon organization, is holding a charity flag football tournament on October 9th at the South Park Fairgrounds as a fundraiser for their group. Ray Graham AND Dion Lewis both need to get touches. Though, you can't justify giving more to Dion at this point, and you certainly can't justify taking away from Graham. Over time, i think Dion will find his wheels again.

Ray Graham needs more touches at ND. He had 277 rush yds last weekend!?!?!
