Steeler Cuts Finding New Homes

Fallout from this weekend's final cuts around the NFL continued on Sunday, as several notable names found new homes.

Stefan Logan, who broke the Steelers single-season record for return yards in 2009 and found himself on the outside looking in this season, landed with the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
To clear room on their roster, the Lions parted ways with another former Steeler, journeyman LB Rocky Boiman. According to MLive.com, Logan will definitely return punts and compete with Derrick William and Aaron Brown for the kickoff return job. The Lions cut former return man and noted pass-dropper Dennis Northcutt this weekend.
Another ex-Steeler latched on with a new team on Sunday, as OL Kraig Urbik reached a deal to join the Buffalo Bills
A third-round pick of the Steelers in 2009, Urbik was inactive each week during his rookie season. That specific Steeler draft class continues to get whittled down, now sitting at just four players  Ziggy Hood, Mike Wallace, Keenan Lewis, and David Johnson) on the active roster just a year in.

Finally, the Steelers' 2008 Rookie of the Year, LB Patrick Bailey, landed with the Tennessee Titans after his release this weekend. The Bailey signing cost pugilistic rookie RB LeGarrette Blount a place on Jeff Fisher's team.
A solid special-teams player, Bailey had 13 tackles last year and won a ring with the team in his rookie season of 2008. Unfortunately, he was a luxury the team couldn't afford at a linebacker position loaded with not one, not two, but three rookies from the 2010 draft class.
