Notes from Tomlin Press Conference Offers Good News on Starks

Some notes from Mike Tomlin's Tuesday press conference, including good news on the Max Starks front:

OT MAX STARKS will actually practice on a limited basis this week and will be listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Tennessee with a low (not high) ankle sprain. He could end up missing just one week of action.

OT JONATHAN SCOTT will start if Starks can't go on Sunday, which is the most likely scenario. Scott has 14 career starts since his career began in 2006, with eight of those coming last year in Buffalo. Flozell Adams will not be changing sides.

QB BYRON LEFTWICH will get limited work on Wednesday to test his knee, but Dennis Dixon will start on Sunday.

NT CASEY HAMPTON (hamstring) has not been ruled out for the Titans game. If he can't go, Chris Hoke will take his place.

WR ANTONIO BROWN will likely be a healthy scratch once again, with Antwaan Randle-El returning punts. Randle-El will also serve as the emergency QB and emergency holder.

Wow, great news about Maxie if it's true. We'll see in week 3 i guess? And i'm glad to see Scott getting the start. He played well on Sunday.

Surprised to see Byron back at practice, though i wonder what 'limited work' means. I do limited work microwaving a hot pocket, doesn't mean i'm ready to go running around for 3 hrs.

If Hampton's not 100% against CJ2k, it's gonna be rough. Hoke is a more than capable backup, but he's no Snack.

Surprised to see Brown not dressing, but it's a numbers game and he's in a deep position. I wouldn't dress him over anyone else that dressed last week, would you guys?
