Regardless of the outcome, this Stanley Cup is bound to leave some Pittsburghers disappointed. In one corner sits hockey mercenary Marian Hossa, trying to win with his third team in as many years. In the other corner sits the Philadelphia Flyers, arguably the most hated opponent in Pittsburgh sports. Gotta put this one to a vote.

I'm pulling for Chicago.
Hossa already learned his lesson when the team he completely dissed beat him in the finals last year.
The Flyers winning the Cup though? I simply CAN NOT have that.
We already beat Hossa head to head in the Finals. It's over, God. I'm sorry, but anyone that would root for the Flyers here with all the history we have with them I honestly feel is not a true Pens fan.
Anyone but Philly! I live too close to Philly and wouldn't want to deal with their fans if they should be lucky enough to beat Chicago. The clock will strike midnight in this series! A sweep by Chicago would be fabulous!
Amen. Hossa was a hired gun, there's really no reason for continued bitterness. The Flyers? No. Way.
I'd cheer for Saddam Hussein if he was playing against the Flyers.
I agree with AJ. You name any group of vile characters you want, suit 'em up, and trot them out on the ice against the Flyers....and I'll root for the vile characters any day of the week.
That said, I would have to guess that no one has ever lost in the final 3 yrs in a row with 3 different teams.
Like my Mom said
1 name that makes you want to vomit on the Cup is better than 25 names...
Koz's mom is one smart lady.
Hossa was a Pengiun, what, for 2 months? I've been alive for 31 years and have hated the Flyers for as long as I can remember...this isn't even close.
I reiterate. Hossa's the choice.
And this is money...
Come on Blackhawks! I live in Philthy and these idiots already think they won the cup.
Hossa played great in his short time he was with the Pens. I don't hold as much animosity towards him as others. I wish we could get him back. True, he dissed the Pens by publicly stating he thought Detroit gave him a better chance at winning a cup. But then again, apparantly he turned down more money from the Pens to play in Detroit. I didn't like his decision but I respect a talent like him that would actually take less money to do what he did.
Go Hawks.
I'm with everyone else - my disdain towards Hossa has somewhat expired...Philly winning? I simply can't take that.
I hate the Flyers with a white hot passion of a thousand burning suns!! The franchise, its fans, those God awful ugly uniforms, everything about the Flyers reeks of vomit!! (I apoligise to vomit for that)
Go Hawks!!
Hossa got his just desserts last year in the SCF.
He's paid his dues when the karma bit him in the @$$.
There is NO WAY I can root for the Cryers. Just the idea of Captain Leadership hoisting the Holy Grail and the Pierre McGuire lovefest to follow is enough to make me want vomit all over my keyboard.
I'm not sure, but I think I may actually hate the Flyers more than I hate the Ravens. God, I hope Hossa gets his championship ring NOW!
Admit it, folks. Part of this scenario could be a potential goldmine for us. Imagine a few "controversial" calls (that are actually correct, but in quotation marks bc it's Crier fans we're talking about) go against Philly, and they lose a tough series. We can hammer that Crier ass for eternity concerning their blaming of the officials and Bettman for the "new conspiracy to give the darling Blackhawks" the Cup.
I see I am not alone in thinking that Hossa is not the hate-able one here. He simply made a business decision that earned him a nice payday, but no championship thanks to the team he said "No" to. Besides, he has given me no reason to "hate" him or root for his continuing championship drought.
I hate the Cryers not just because they are from Philly. I hate the Cryers because they brawled their way to their only two Cups and league turned (continues to turn?) a blind eye toward it.
I hate the Cryers because they celebrate the dirtiest player of all time, Bobby Clarke. The guy would provoke an opponent and then step aside to allow one of his teammates to fight his battles for him. And, yes, it was much different than when one of Sid's teammates comes to his defense.
I hate the Cryers because their fans are the most ignorant fans of any fan base I have ever seen. In their eyes, their guys can do no wrong or break any rules and legitimate plays against them should be called penalties. Most fans know there are rules and, though they may not like it, they understand their teams do get called for legitimate penalties. I cannot say that is true of Cryers fans.
I hate the Cryers because their owners also own Comcast of which VS. a part of. If it weren't for that, perhaps we would have some decent national coverage on the likes of ESPN and the league would have less incentive to "favor" the Cryers in hopes of continuing to have the VS. contract remain in place.
And, finally, I hate the Cryers because of that long unbeaten streak they had against us in the Spectrum. Too many of those games came down to a "questionable" penalty (non) call late in the game that helped the Cryers keep the streak alive.
The Hossa thing was over last year. Get over it, Pittsburgh. There's no way you cab call yourself a Pens fan and root for the Flyers.
Go Hawks Go.
Got to root for chicago, hossa is an afterthought on that team with a lot of young exciting talent. I would give up any penguin winger to see Dustin Byfuglien in Pittsburgh thats a grown ass man. Philly is such a crap hole, and what kind of city builds a statue for a person that only existed in movies (rocky). Though i would agree turning Mellon Arena into a shrine to John Claude Van Damm and the great movie Sudden Death cause ACTION GOES INTO OVERTIME.
Never had a problem with Hossa leaving, though I did find it hilarious he had to be with the losers again. But anyone calling themselves a Pittsburgher or Penguins fan who roots for the Flyers in any situation that wouldn't directly help the Pens needs to be excommunicated immediately.
Just received a check for $500.
Sometimes people don't believe me when I tell them about how much money you can make by taking paid surveys at home...
So I show them a video of myself actually getting paid $500 for participating in paid surveys.
