OF Brandon Moss, designated for assignment by the Pirates last week, has cleared waivers and will be send to AAA Indianapolis, according to the PG's Dejan Kovacevic. If Moss sticks, that move would leave Indy with an outfield of Moss, Jose Tabata, and Brandon Jones, with Neil Walker and Brian Myrow also getting worked in.
There is also a possibility that Moss could still be traded even though he wasn't claimed on waivers, with the belief that a team wouldn't have to guarantee him a roster spot (as they would have if they claimed him via waivers).
The Trib's Rob Biertempfel mentioned earlier today that Moss would be dealt this afternoon, likely getting a prospect in return, so this may not be the last we've heard on Moss's final destination.
