After much research, reader input, and discussion, my list of the 50 Most Exciting Wins in Pittsburgh Sports Since 1990 is now complete and ready for viewing on the 93.7 The Fan website.
I'll be discussing it on The Fan Morning Show with Paul Alexander and Jon Burton (sans the ill Jim Colony) at 8:40 on Thursday morning. If any of you care to tune in, you can listen online right here.

The Pitt/WVU game above a Steelers Super Bowl and Game 5 of the 2008 SCF........ooooooooook.
The Rob Mackowiak games are underrated. Two clutch wins by a terrible team. It doesn't get much better in baseball than two walk-off HRs in a doubleheader.
I don't like the new page layout, when everything is linked to the fan's page. Post them here as well. Sorry I know that has nothing to do with anything but I just like the old way and I can't link up to the fan's page from here.
@The Nigerian Joke,
Sorry that Penn State Women's Volleyball didn't make the cut. Considering the national title implications and what Don articulated in the opening paragraph, it's arguable that it belongs where it is in the Top-10. You just subjectively value it lower than some other sports fans. Again, Don't list is just one man's opinion.
17-10
^Troll?
Yeah.....it had national title implications.....for WVU. If the game actually meant anything for Pitt besides screwing over their rival, even as a Pitt hater I could at least justify it being that high.
I know this sounds dumb, but why did you go from 1 - 50? The best part of lists is the suspense of "I wonder what the best play is gonna be... it has to be this... " That being said, great picks!
#1.) It wasn't just any regular season game, it was the Backyard Brawl, against Pitt's #1 Rival. ( I know it is hard to Penn State fans to grasp the magnitude of having a rivarly that wasn't just invented so you could get an extra pennant on NCAA '06 Race for the Heisman)
#2.) WVU wasn't just favored to win, but were expected to by an enormous margin and were also ranked 2nd nationally.
I don't know, I think that coming out on the road as 30 pt underdogs and keeping your hated rival out of the National Title game would rank pretty high up on the list.
I really don't care about your Yinzer-fication of that game. Bottom line is there's no way it was more exciting to the city of Pittsburgh's sports fans than Cowher and Bettis winning their first Super Bowl.....no way.
#14 Pens 6-Caps 2: Gotta include a note about MAF's glove save on AO early in the game to take the Caps out of it.
#23 Steelers 23-Ravens 14: It was also the 3rd time we beat a very good Baltimore team that season
