BIG BEN LIMPS OFF...BUT HE'S OK!

It wouldn't be a Ben Roethlisberger post-Super Bowl preseason without drama, and you can add "limps off during practice" to a list that includes a motorcycle accident, emergency appendectomy, and civil lawsuit following Super Bowls XL and XLIII.

The culprit of today's incident that left Steeler Nation in a temporary state of panic appears to be all 345 pounds of Max Starks, who rolled into the quarterback on a bull rush by James Harrison. Said Starks:
"James Harrison was bull rushing ... I'm not sure I knocked him into [Roethlisberger] or what happened behind me. I was busy trying to block the defensive MVP," Starks said. "He got tripped up and fell down."
The good news is that by all accounts, Roethlisberger appears to be OK, other than the fact that he told team president Art Rooney that his right ankle felt like "a car ran over it". Nonetheless, Roethlisberger may sit out Saturday's game with Washington anyway. You may now exhale.

Nice; bad enough that Ben has to worry about getting blind-sided by ublocked LB's, now he's got to get out of the way of his O-lineman as they are pushed back into him.

To me, Ben is like the Boy Who Cried Wolf. He always makes sure everyone knows about his injuries - so he has a crutch when he loses, and it makes him look more 'heroic' when he wins. I won't believe his ankle is hurt unless it falls off.

Ben is a drama queen but i'll take that any day. All the man does is win football games and he very rarely loses them. Gotta take the good with the bad.
