Big Lead Sports Bar

As I put two and two together this morning, I came to the realization that the highly successful Pitt women's basketball team will be playing Oklahoma in the Sweet 16. And guess who suits up for the Sooners? That's right, a 6'1" sophomore from Findlay, Ohio, by the name of Carlee Roethlisberger. Roethlisberger is a reserve and averages four points and 1.5 rebounds in about 13 minutes per game. Will big brother make the trip to watch her and eat some Dippin Dots, like he's been known to do at Pitt men's games?

The Pitt women, 25-7 and seeded fourth, beat 12-seed Gonzaga 65-60 in the second round of the NCAA tournament behind 24 points from Shavonte Zellous. They'll meet Oklahoma on Sunday night at 9 PM in the third round.

It's worth noting that six schools have teams in both the men's and women's Sweet 16s: Pitt, Oklahoma, UConn, Louisville, Purdue, and Michigan State. I think it's pretty safe to say that those institutions know what they're doing in terms of basketball programs.
