STEELERS REPLACE ONE SEAN WITH ANOTHER

Filling their temporary void of players named Sean after the trade of Sean Mahan, the Steelers acted swiftly, signing veteran tight end Sean McHugh today. McHugh started at both tight end and fullback last season for the Detroit Lions, and given the Steelers' affinity for former Lions, he was an obvious choice to be signed. He will be the Steelers' third tight end behind Heath Miller and Matt Spaeth.
McHugh is 6'5", 265 pounds, 26 years old, and a former Penn State Nittany Lion. He was a 7th-round pick of the Titans in 2004 but by the wonders of NFL transactions ended up a Green Bay Packer that season. He found his way to Detroit in 2005, where he's played the last three seasons, starting 14 games. Last season he had 17 catches for 252 yards.
And in irrelevant information, he was a Browns fan growing up and enjoys grilling rack of lamb. So if this doesn't work out, he can always open a restaurant in Cleveland.

If Sean McHugh doesn't work out there are still several other Sean's currently in the NFL.

Including Sean Ryan, TE for the Dolphins.
