In a move made primarily to shut up a cynical blogger, the Steelers actually signed the free agent that they brought in on Tuesday, inking Chiefs LB/ST Keyaron Fox to a 12-month contract.
I suggested that it wouldn't take many of their remaining Rooney Dollars left under the cap to sign said linebacker, and it looks like that was one call that I was actually correct on. Fox received a signing bonus of $40,000 and a salary of $605,000 for 2008. Not exactly Roethlisberger money, but it beats playing for the Chiefs.
