The Steelers just checked out two more free agents: center Justin Hartwig of Carolina and special-teamer Donnie Nickey of Tennessee.
Hartwig signed a 5-year, $17 million deal just two seasons ago, but since an NFL contract is worth little more than the paper it's printed on, he finds himself unemployed at the moment. Sounds like the perfect complement to Sean Mahan. He also sports a rather interesting hairdo.
Nickey is considered a special-teams wizard and is known for hitting teammates too hard in practice, much to the chagrin of Vince "The Terrelle Pryor of Yesterday" Young.
