The News

Got news? Email it to mondesishouse@gmail.com for the next edition!
--A fantastic article simply entitled, "Lack of bona fide rivalries is hurting Penn State". Keep fighting it, Lions fans, but deep down you know that you have no true rival.
--Charlie Weis is excited that Notre Dame will be picking at the top of the draft
--The folks behind Man vs. Wild offered me some exclusive photos and video clips to share with you. And being that this is the season of giving, I'm more than happy to oblige. I think Bear's stepped it up a notch since all of those "Man vs. Wild is fake" rumors started popping up.
--Would you ever read a link about grass? Well, if I told you it involved the grass at Heinz Field?

--The PG takes a memorable look back at Pitt's 41-38, 3 OT upset of the Mountaineers in 1997. I can't wait for 2017, when the PG looks back at the 2007 Pitt upset of the national championship-bound WVU.

--Robert Roethlisberger Jr. just got arrested in Georgia with a truck that showed large, graphic photos of aborted fetuses. To answer your next question, no, he's not related.

--The producer of the "Saw" movies has been sued for allegedly being shady during a deal to purchase the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team. If he invented the Blackberry, I would've sworn I heard this story already.
--Here's SI.com's NFL Power Rankings. The Cowboys come in at #1. No, wait, I read it wrong...it's the Patriots.
--In the upcoming biopic, Joe Namath is going to be played by...Jake Gyllenhaal? Say it ain't so, Joe!
--PNC Bank bought the naming rights to 1,300 seats at Washington Nationals games. So they're sinking sponsorship money into the Pirates and the Nationals. That's a bank with some great investment sense.
--Great news: Francoix Leroux is back in the Pens' organization!
--Bill Simmons risks carpal tunnel and breaks the ESPN record with a seven-hour chat today.
--So now Duke hates ESPN. What next, CBS feuds with the Patriots?
--Britney Spears stole a wig from the Hustler store in West Hollywood. The hits just keep on comin'.

woah. outta line on the CBS comment. I stopped going to ESPN.com for their patriots jockfest and moved over to cbs.sportsline.com... Much Much Much improved coverage. They actually realize there are other teams.

That Roethlisberger guy looks like he could be related. They have the same forehead, you know the kind, the one that can crush a car's winshield.

Bill Simmons also set another ESPN record. The most consecutive unreadable articles: currently at 75.

On another note, was I the only person that saw Jose Bautista at the Steeler game on Monday? He was wearing a Fast Willie jersey and waving a towel.

How did leading off the News with an article about Penn State NOT manage to coax a comment out of Adam?

I'm baffled.

I assumed Leroux was being hired as a coach or scout of some sort, nope, he was signed to play for the Nailers.

An over the hill goon who never could skate even in his best days, a quality addition.

Imagine being the guy who got cut to make room for Leroux, wow that would hurt.

Raul is the only person that actually predicted Pitt to win this game. I think you should start a football gambling blog.
