Ron Santo is overrated on that worst announcers list. Rating him as 7 is kind. You can pick up 720AM (WGN in Chi-town) on a clear summer night. On the rare occasions when the Pirates are beating the Cubs, I like to listen to Santo whine. It's a shame, too, because he's partnered with one of the best baseball play-by-play men of all time, IMO, in Pat Hughes.
in response to this list, does that mean we should count ourselves fortunate to listen to Greg Brown? If that is the case, we are living in scary times.
