That's the hot topic around the web this morning in the wake of the Penguins' 6-2 thrashing of Atlanta last night. Puck Daddy discussed Cooke's hit on Zach Bogosian in great depth and reached the conclusion (based on the two videos below) that "Cooke's no saint, but he wasn't trying to end Bogosian's season here." I would concur.
Questionable hits aside, the most important storyline to come out of this game was the fact that the Penguins got another two points in their playoff savings account. Evgeni Malkin, who was too sick to practice as late as Monday, had two goals and three assists in a gutsy effort. The win moved the Penguins into a fourth-place tie with Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference.
