Video: Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin on The Price is Right

Crosby. Ovechkin. Roenick? Roenick.

Today was the unveiling of the Winter Classic-themed showcase showdown on The Price is Right, and boy, was it ever riveting. Nothing like using awkward, taped promos to hype a daytime game show to the sports blogosphere genre. Thankfully, yours truly fell hook, line, and sinker.

What was I thinking in being even moderately interested in this? Did I think Sid was going to fly to California and play Plinko in-between games? What next, you're going to tell me he's going to tape a WWE wrestling event in the middle of the season? No, that would be too far fetched to believe. No athlete would ever do that.

I'm a few IQ points dumber for having seen that.

Also, nothing like a Cleveland guy trying to sound excited about a Pittsburgh event.

If Jeremy Roenick is cool, I don't want to see dorky.

So...a double over means there are still some tickets left for the game right? Figures the NHL can't even give something away right.

Also, shouldn't it be the law all the Price Is Right girls have to wear lingerie or bathing suits? What's up with jeans and a t-shirt...that's ratings baby!

You could tell that west coast girl was thrilled that she might be going to Pittsburgh in the dead of winter.

Funny. Even funnier is that the NHL was dumb enough to schedule Pens/Caps on Thursday, the same night the Steelers play.

Bar Keep - Yeah, Same night I'll be driving across the state missing both. At least I can get the Steelers on Sirius

Since both folks went over, does that mean that Jeremy Roenick ends up winning the tickets and VIP package?
