Andre Frazier Out for the Season

LB/ST Andre Frazier, the owner of two rings with the Steelers, was placed on IR today, ending his 2010 season.

Originally joining the Steelers as an undrafted free agent from the University of Cincinnati in 2005, Frazier has spent parts of four seasons with the Steelers, bouncing on and off the roster like a modern-day Brian St. Pierre. He also spent some time with his hometown Cincinnati Bengals in both 2006 and 2007. Frazier has appeared in 29 of a possible 32 games with the Steelers over the past two seasons, with 23 tackles and one sack to his credit.

Replacing Frazier is LB Brandon Renkart, 25, who has been spent time in the Jets (2008, practice squad), Cardinals (2009, practice squad) and Colts (2009-10) organizations. Renkart played his college ball in the Big East with Rutgers and has no NFL regular-season appearances to his credit.
