GAME 7 PREDICTION TIME

The clock is ticking until Pens-Habs VII, and to fill that void I thought we should all go on the record with a few quick predictions as to what might happen. Just copy and paste it into the comments section and please add your two cents.

1. Final score:

2. Hero of the game:

3. MVP of the series:

4. Prediction for the rest of the playoffs:

I'll get it started:

1. Final score: 3-2 Pens. Arena crowd is fired up, Matt Cooke scores a quick goal, Canadiens tie it by the end of the first. Both teams trade goals in the second - I'm thinking either Guerin or Letang for this one. And with about 10 minutes left in the third, Sid buries one to win the series.

2. Hero of the game: Gotta go with Sid. His track record in these moments speaks for itself. Plus, he's due.

3. MVP of the series: Toughest call of all, but I think Fleury comes up big numerous times tonight and gets my vote.

4. Prediction for the rest of the playoffs: Pens beat Chicago, four games to two, in the Stanley Cup. Marian Hossa is the loser for a third straight year.

1. 2-nil. Montreal gets an early goal and Pens can't get one past Halak. They net an empty-netter to seal it. I am devasted.

2. Halak.

3. Halak.

4. Montreal plays Boston in what is one of the least entertaining series. I forget about hockey, lose interest in baseball, continue to not care about the NBA, and wait patiently for Pitt football.

1. Final score: Pens 4 Habs 3. Pens jump ahead on a PPG after Fleury stones Cameltoe and then add 2 second pd goals. We then go on the PK for the last 15 minutes of the game, but Jordan Staal scores a SHG which proves to be the GWG when the Habs score 6 on 3 with an empty net after Talbot gets 2 minutes for diving following Subban two-handing him across the face and knocking 6 teeth out. Scott Gomez cries to the ref for a double minor for Superstar.

2. Hero of the game: Sidney Crosby with 2G and and an assist.

3. MVP of the series: Halak in a losing effort because he the only reason I am writing this and not focusing on the Cryers/Bruins Game

4. Prediction for the rest of the playoffs: Pens sweep the Bruins and Blackhawks and Bill Guerin slides across the tarps at PNC Park with the Cup.

3. MVP of the series: Halek.

4. Prediction for the rest of the playoffs: Pens over Bruins in 6. Blackhawks over Sharks in 7. Pens over Hawks in 5.

Secondary Prediction: If the Habs win this series, they win the cup.

I hope I am COMPLETELY wrong about this prediction, but...

1. 2-1 MTL in OT. Mellon Arena's final game ironically ends in the same score as the first regular season game played at the Igloo (also a loss to the Habs).

2. Spacek. Game ends in a blue line slap shot by a player with the last name ending in "EK" (painfully similar to '93 Islanders)

3. Co-MVP's Halak/Cammalleri

4. Chicago over Montreal in 5

1. 7-4 Final. The game starts fast, reminiscent of Game 5 in '88 between the Pens/Flyers. Crosby, Malkin, Kunitz get them out to an early 3-0 lead. The Habs open up and realize they have to start going up and down, get it to 3-1 by the first break. It gets to 5-1 before they start chipping back and make it 5-4 with 10 to go in the 3rd. A few minutes later Crosby and Malkin get some open ice and put in the insurance, 6-4. Habs pull Halak with 2 to go, and Talbot puts home the empty netter.

2. Crosby
3. Halek
4. Pens over Hawks in 6, close out Mellon by raising the cup.

I refuse to make any predictions which no doubt will hex the team.

Let's just say I like the good guy's chances in a close game.

Regardless of outcome, Halak deserves to be the series MVP.

Have nice career somewhere else Sarge. You were one of the reasons we won the cup but you are a shadow of your self now.

BTW nice assist on the Canadians second goal

Holy Shit Keith Jones just called out Gonchar. Called him disinterested.

Nice prediction Mondesi. Go back to covering the Pirates and defending Rapistberger

I have a question... How come the Penguins can't collaspe around the net like the Habs can? Seriously I would like to know. It was like the team was a couple of steps behind reaction time. They just weren't meshin'
