FYI: I decided to keep my scheduled dentist appointment for Wednesday evening. I just figured I'd rather have someone poking around in my mouth with a sharp object and drill, than see the Pens either bottled up in their own end for 3 periods (sexual pun not intended), or blow a 5-goal lead.

Yea, I don't have good vibes about the Pens chances this year. You know how coaches say you are only as good as you practice. I would like to modify that - you are only as good you as most recently played. The Penguins play this year has not been Stanley Cup material. Zero wins against the Capitals and Devils. They have tried several times to turn on the light switch, the electricity just isn't there.

I obviously hope I am wrong.

I gotta add some playoff enthusiasm here. As flawed as the Pens appear to be, I for one think Sid, Geno, and the boys will once again skate circles around the Senators. Shame ol Kovy won't be participating.

And I can't doubt that Flower will again step up (or should I say stand on his head) in the spring.

I am quite tired of the Steeler soap opera and the continued futility of Buccos. Whether a 4th Cup is raised or not, I'm most interested these days in witnessing sports finest postseason played in the Igloo one more time.

Let's Go Pens...and F the Caps!
