FIRST SHOT OF BIG BEN IN NEW YORK

Courtesy of TMZ, here is the first shot of a much more clean cut Ben Roethlisberger arriving in New York for his meeting with the NFL today. Why he didn't show up  looking like this for his press conference last night, I have absolutely no idea.

Ahh, much better Ben, much better.

Seriously. It boggles the mind, his get-up yesterday.

Oh, thank Jebus.

Whew, that was better. After yesterday's presser, I was expecting him to exit the limo today wearing a giant clock around his neck.

Why did he ditch the Jesse James hair? All he needed was the Nazi hat and he had James' wardrobe down!

In all seriousness, glad to see he is taking this one seriously.

He showed up looking that way at the press conference because he's an idiot.

I think I might be done with Steelers until this rapist leaves town.

@ Barry: Bye-bye.

Barry,

The Steelers are bigger than Ben Roethlisberger.

After all this stuff, they are quickly becoming a team where you cheer for the laundry and not the guy wearing it. It's all pretty disappointing, but for better or worse will be quickly forgotten if they win a few games.

That being said, if they have anything close to resembling the awful season they had last year, people will pile it on Ben so deep he'll wish he had gone to prison. For his sake, he better play every down as if his life depends on it. There are probably a lot of people that can't wait for him to fail.

@ Barry

I never knew Ben was a therapist.

I cannot wait for the Pens series to start so we can actually debate an actual sporting event.

I am also anxiously awaiting the drop of the puck tomorrow evening.

Seeing Sid and Geno taking their game to another level over the last few games has me somewhat optimistic. However, we had better up the level of defensive responsibility or it's going to be an early exit.

I wish the steelers would just let me watch hockey playoffs in peace. This is going away the worst offseason I've lived through. For the first time in my life I don't want to think about the steelers

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, you fuckwad.

I'm with Barry. How the hell am I supposed to cheer for a scumbag like this? At least Santonio could go unnoticed for the better part of an entire game...this butthole is involved in almost every play. Only hope is he gets traded, or his knee gets shredded for good in the preseason. Serve the prick right.

And Jeremy T...really? Christ I'm fucking glad you're not a teacher at my kids' school.

Go Pens.

OMFG How is Ben getting out of a Suburban worthy of a post?

Robert:

My profession is entirely separate from my opinion on this matter. Actually, if I had your kids in my class, I wouldn't grade them or treat them any different just bc you and I don't see eye-to-eye. After all, triangle ABC is either congruent to triangle DEF or not, regardless of whether we get along or not.

One more thing: leave Jesus Christ out of this.

For a $100 million athlete, this guy might have the worst handlers in history (with the exception of Stephon Star-bury's crew). I can only imagine the conversation before yesterday's presser...Long sleeve mercerized golf shirt - check / Quasi mullet - check / Extra Vitalis for effect - check / Rugged 5'O clock shadow - check. Maybe he is targeting the lumberjack demographic? If this season goes down the tubes early, there is potential to hear boos that haven't been heard since the Cliff Stoudt era. Does anyone remember the Maulers game when Stoudt came back?

@Dallas Mike;

That Maulers games was brutal. The huge "Cliff is a Stiff" sign that was unfurled was priceless.

How many snowballs did Cliff get hit by?

Nice...way to declare yourself a member of Ben's Douche Army.
