A NEW GIG

I'm excited to announce that as of this morning, I have officially joined the team at Pittsburgh's newest sports radio station, 93.7 The Fan. My work will consist of authoring exclusive content for their website as well as appearing on their various talk shows throughout the week.

The announcement was made official this morning on The Fan Morning Show, with Paul Alexander, Jon Burton, and Jim Colony. A podcast is available here if you're interested.

My work on Mondesi's House will not change, as I will maintain complete editorial control here. If anything, this opportunity will give me additional time and access to stories and personalities that interest you.

I am not the traditional hire for a radio station, and I realize that CBS/KDKA radio is venturing into new territory here. But I sincerely hope to represent the blogging community well and maybe even open some people's eyes to this developing form of media.

I want to thank everyone at CBS and KDKA who was involved in the process of making this happen, but most of all, I want to thank the readers of Mondesi's House. Without your support over the years, this just would not have been possible. Simply put, you are what keeps me going.

My first post for The Fan will probably hit early next week, and I will always give a heads-up on MH. Until then, I've got a lot of catching up to do, so I'll be back soon with some afternoon updates.

Not a bad gig for a regular guy who enjoys sitting at his computer and writing about sports. Congrats, you deserve it!

Congratulations, a well-deserved opportunity.

Bloggers might not have access to all the sources as the pros---then again they don't do it for a living---but sports blogs have long been the place for real, honest discussion about the business(es). I hope you can bring some of that to 93.7.

Congrats Don!

But did you stop to think about how this will effect Mondesi's House's most supery, most geniusy fan, Mark Madden? He's a big a MH supporter and a bigtime "Fan" hater, surely he will need to do some soul searching this weekend.

Once again, congratulations & good luck! I look forward to it.

Congrats! Great news. Wish I could listen to it but living in Atlanta makes that difficult.
