Pens lose, Sid scares a nation: The Pittsburgh Penguins head into the Olympic break having lost four of their last five, as things did not get better with a 4-3 shootout loss against Nashville on Sunday at the Igloo.

The story of the game was Sidney Crosby taking a shot off his foot, which put a collective knot in the stomachs of the entire country of Canada. But King Crosby says he's OK, and he boarded a flight to Vancouver after the game.

Sid scored one of the three Penguin goals, with Brooks Orpik and Matt Cooke getting the others, but sloppy penalties, a lackluster second period, and three blown leads contributed to the defeat.

After being shutout in the shootout, the Pens ended the pre-Olympic portion of their schedule at 36-22-4, a point behind New Jersey for the division lead and fourth overall in the East. The Penguins will be off until a match with Buffalo on March 2 at the Arena. Until then, let the Olympic fun begin. [ESPN]

And speaking of Olympic fun...The Pensblog has brought back their popular Rinkotology game just for the Olympics, and there are plenty of cash prizes to be had. You can find our more about the rules and how to enter here.

Rostraver Gardens on Fox News? That has to be either extremely good or extremely bad news. Unfortunately, it's extremely bad - the roof collapsed while the ice was being resurfaced during a youth hockey tournament. But there is some good news: no one was injured. [Foxnews.com]

A win for Ganassi: Chip Ganassi's racing team won a choppy Daytona 500 yesterday behind driver Jamie McMurray after more than two hours of pothole-caused delays. Between the potholes and Ganassi, this edition of the 500 had a distinct Pittsburgh feel, no? [PG]

I thought we might see Ellis Cannon on the new Fan. Has anybody seen or heard where he went after his show on 104.7 cancelled?

Love the new station.

Seibel and Starkey are going to be fantastic.

Cook and Vinnie are going to need some work.

ABC is going to be good once they figure out each other's roles.
