BIG MISTAKE

Ahh, the classic mistake of Bengal overconfidence. Really, Cincinnati? First you sign Larry Johnson, and then your fans burn the Terrible Towel? But I guess you should enjoy it while you can. We all know how this movie ends. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a photo to post.

Ahhh yes, the classic reminder that the great-Cincinatti area also includes a large portion of Kentucky (that wasn't a joke, it does).

NFL history is littered with mid-season champions my friends.

If, as a kid, my parents (these were adults, not college students or teenagers) ever set fire to a piece of football paraphenelia from another team on the street in front of our house, I'd be pretty embarassed!

When will they learn?

Based on their vast success over the past 20 years I can understand their confidence.

I just want to point out that one of those dudes is wearing a foam orange cowboy hat and a foam finger.

Just, uh, thought that was worth mentioning.

Yeah.

don, thanks for reminding the cockroaches of our 6 trophies - how many do they have to compare?

You're right, since you guys won last year, more people should just bandwagon onto the Jonas Brothers of the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both Cincinatti and Pittsburgh are garbage places to live, regardless of the sports teams.

Where are you from Ryan?

No one wants these people to jump on the bandwagon, we just realize it's dumb to get cocky midseason and equally as dumb to burn the Terrible Towel. Actually the last time they messed with the terrible towel their season went down the drain and they still haven't learned.

Not sure where you live or are from my boy Ryan but Pittsburgh is fine city to live in. I do a lot of traveling and have been to many places but none I would rather live in and/or associate myself with more than Pittsburgh. If you want to shit on Cincy by all means do so but dont come on here and trash the city of champions. We love the steelers in pittsburgh and there aint no bandwagon fans here I can gaurantee you that, we are born to be fanatical steeler fans. Your just pissed that there are more stiller fans in cincy than bunghol fans, i would be too

ps lombardi envy is a bitch..stay classy cincinatti

If 'Ryan' is referencing the Jonas Brothers, he probably is from his parents basement, which knows no city.

Very creative Bengal fan. I'm surprised their premature victory fire didn't suddenly do an about face and engulf the enormous orange foam hat in flames. After all...it is the Bengals they are cheering for.

You have a good team there Cincinnati...unfortunately, they don't give out trophies for wins in weeks 3 or 10.

Why do they hate people with autism so much?

I still don't understand what you mean by 'Lombardi Envy', it's obvious to everyone that the Steelers are a very successful franchise. But what is the point of gloating about it? Are you trying to get people to change their allegiances? People make the decision of what team to root for early on, and then they normally don't change. If anything, it's way harder to be a Bengals fan, or an Eagles fan (like myself), because there is no reward for rooting these teams on. You aren't a "better" fan because your team wins more; in fact, it has nothing to do with you.

Never been to Pittsburgh, so I'll admit I was just trying to hurt feelings.

And what I meant by 'Jonas Brothers of the NFL' is simply that the Steelers are the most popular team in the country, from a city that is extremely small compared to most other markets. I can only assume that this is because there are a lot of bandwagon Steelers fans due to their career successes, not because there are so many people from the Pittsburgh area.

I don' t think that 'Lombardi Envy' requires an explanation;the Steelers have more Lombardi Trophies than everyone else thus people with less Lombardi Trophies (for instance say zero Lombardi Trophies like in Philly) are jealous.

I figured I would write Lombardi Trophy several times in my response seeing as you are an Eagles fans and seeing the words Lombardi Trophy written on a blog are the closest your team has ever come to actually winning one.

Ryan - the steelers have the best fans regardless of what we win. Always have and always will, know that. I have been to philthy and Cincy if you want to make that case and both dont hold a candle to the Burgh. Philthy, well, its just a dirty city full of angry people like yourself. Dont open your mouth about something you have never experienced which are Pittsburgh and Lombardis. Philthy will never have the football team we do, you will always be PA's stepchild of the NFL.
