Enjoy paying a 42-year old Hossa $5 million a year to not show up in the playoffs, Chicago. Idiots.
this is actually a great signing for chicago. i'd be suprised if they werent in the final four again next year. we can bash on him all we want, but the fact is he's still one of the top 10 players in the NHL, had a great regular season and western playoffs showing. and he just went to a serious contender.
but the picture of him on the bench seconds after the clock hit all zeros was one of the greatest moments in pittsburgh sports history
Does he insist on pissing on every team he leaves by turning down a contract then going to play their rivals?
It's a good move or the kiss of death. He'll never finish the contract because he'll retire or head off to europe and it won't count against the cap at that point. He'll have multiple chances now that he's actually committed to an up and coming team. Or he'll curse them.
I really think that the only way Hossa will win a cup is pull a Chelios from last year and just manage to be on the roster somehow when the whole thing is decided.
It is pretty clear to me that he only wants to be a passenger in a league full of drivers.
