NATALIA MALKIN MAKES KILLER BORSCHT



You've gotta love any recipe that starts with "1 pound any kind of meat, cubed", but that's exactly the fuel that burns the engine of one Evgeni Malkin. And it's made by this lovely woman shown above, who has released her recipe for Borscht to the world today.



The PG has the full recipe, which I say should be a requisite entree at any upcoming Penguins party. Burgh area grocery stores should fully expect a run on beets in the next 24-48 hours.

Who knew that borscht was nothing more than simple beef stew with some cabbage and beets thrown in? If that's the case, then why doesn't Campbell's make it and why haven't I ever been able to order it in an Eastern Block kinda ethnicy city like Pittsburgh before?
