THE TERRIBLE TOWEL TRAVELS WELL

If I were to come back to life as an inanimate object, I'd have to say that being a Terrible Towel would be near the top of the list. It travels the world and everybody loves it (the lone exception being fans of every other NFL team). So you can imagine my lack of surprise at two photos of said towel that showed up in my inbox recently:

Photo one is from reader Justin Hampton, who hails, as the 1980s WWF announcers used to say, "from parts unknown." He decided it would be a good idea to take the Terrible Towel to this exotic locale, which has just a little bit of history behind it. Well, if getting on Mondesi's House was your goal, consider the mission accomplished. You're doing God's work in spreading the cause of Steeler Nation around the globe.

Photo two was sent to me recently by the man known as Koz, who is famous for writing Penguins stuff on the site as well as his upcoming appearance in the new Sidney Crosby DVD as "Sidney Crosby Season Ticket Delivery Recipient #2". Koz sent over a screen grab of the Oregon State upset of USC, and what seemed to find its way through the gates? You guessed it...the Terrible Towel.

Of course, these may all be second-fiddle to the towel's recent appearance at the Olympics, but I declare them cool nonetheless.
