NEWS AND NOTES

--This PG headline seems to imply that the Pirates don't exist. They don't, right? [PG]
--Just for the sake of making your blood boil: a case for/against Maz for the Hall of Fame that gets rather heated in the comments section. [Dugout Central]
--If you're looking for a Q&A with Pedro Alvarez, Colin Dunlap's got it covered. [PG]

--A belated congrats to my W&J Presidents (currently #11 in the country) after their 49-21 win over Grove City on Saturday. Actually, the Maz article is in support of him being in the HOF. The author says that if you are unfamiliar with Maz you might think he shouldn't, but his conclusion is that he definitely does belong in the HOF.

Wow, has it really been 11 years since that one time Grove City beat W&J?

/remembers that it was four years after I graduated from Grove City that we beat W&J.

Dammit, now I'm even more depressed.

Ahhh GCC trashtalk...nice to know I'm getting under your skin.

Hey legend, when did you graduate from the best private school in Western PA?

Hey man - I went to Bethany College, where we once scored on W&J in a game! Football is just an afterthought to our national championship winning soccer team though...oh wait, we suck in that too? Fuck me - homecoming is this weekend and we're going to lose badly in all of our sporting events...at least there's the great night life in the West Virginia panhandle...damn, this just keeps worse and worse...I'm going to stop talking now

@Charlie:

1994, so I just missed the RJ Bowers era, too. But we had a damn good swim team!
