Super Bowl 41.75

My schedule is overloaded for today, so a weekend recap and blanket coverage of Super Bowl 41.75 (you know, Steelers-Ravens) will have to wait until tomorrow.
Until then, enjoy the audio that the Colts allegedly pumped into the game yesterday, compliments of Pro Football Talk. Notice the "skipping" sound that their CD makes towards the end of the clip.
The similarities among the Colts and Patriots now grow greater: Super Bowl Champions, great quarterbacks, solid coaching, obvious cheating...
The audio is also available at the 2:23 mark of the NFL.com highlight package:

Am I missing where the cheating happened? What should we be listening for?

Whoops! Yea those Indianapolis fans really know how to turn up the volume when their defense is on the field and sure know how to shut up when the offense trots out there out there out there out there out there. Errr...

I knew it would eventually happen, but now we see the benefits of New England "running up the score" on every other opponent this season. They never stop, unlike the Colts, who decided to stop playing defense and covering Randy Moss once the game was "over" at 20-10.

As an aside...you can run against both NE and especially Indy. Indy's D looked good outside of the big plays to Moss and Stallworth, but they were being gouged repeatedly with the draw play. Granted, both teams were playing nickel the entire game...but the running game is a viable option against both.

Tonight's game has me pumped/scared shitless...I know the Steelers are the better team, but I can't shake the lingering thoughts of the two embarrassing thrashings they withstood at the hands of the ravens last year. I'm interested to see how in the hell they plan on running the ball.

John, right before Nance says "and Moss on the slant", you can hear the CD with the OBVIOUS piped in noise start skipping and then it becomes eerily silent.

I remember the Steelers complaining about the pumped in crowd noise a few seasons ago.

How come this whole piped-in noise thing is only making a small wave on the internet, when a few million people CLEARLY heard it on TV last night.

CBS has claimed credit for the sound, they said it was a feedback issue.

It's only on the television cast, not radio casts. Apparently you couldn't hear it in the dome. At least that's what's being reported now.

Wouldn't the dome be so loud because of fans that they wouldn't of been able to hear the skipping anyways?

Regardless, CBS claimed responsibility and the radio broadcasters backed it up. Unless you think it's a nation-wide media conspiracy, I think it's a non-story.

yeah, ended up being CBS trying to "enhance" the broadcast. like adding bird chirps to a golf soundtrack. I kind of suspected CBS of doing it for a long time now, because every QB sounds the same when they audible and you hear just a few too many cracks when someone gets tackled.

just want to amend that and say I didn't suspect it in this situation. not trying to make my self seem like nostradamus

The NFL seems to change things and make things happen to keep Golden Boy Manning looking squeaky clean as it is.

I'm not saying it was or wasn't, just after some of the favors the NFL has done for Peyton, nothing surprises me when it comes to the guy.

PS. It's not like Colts radio broadcasters WOULDN'T deny it anyways. But you're still probably right.
