Tonight I am making my debut on Dave Dameshek's new radio show, The Sports Contraption, on 93.7 The Zone - Pittsburgh's Man Station. The show runs from 7-10 PM, and I will appear around 7:40 or so to talk Pirates, Penguins, Steelers, and Pitt vs. Penn State. You can listen live on The Zone's website.
Dave has an extensive Hollywood background. He has been an integral part of shows such as The Man Show, Jimmy Kimmel LIVE, Battlebots, I'm With Busey, Trigger Happy TV, CBS Radio's Adam Carolla Show, and Fox Sports Net's Sports Geniuses. He also appeared on Kimmel's popular segments on Fox's NFL pre-game show.
Dave is actually broadcasting the show from Jimmy Kimmel's house in Los Angeles. He will soon move back to his hometown of Pittsburgh as soon as his wife delivers their first child (any day now).
Dave's show was recently co-hosted by a name you are all familiar with, Bill Simmons of ESPN.com. Bill recapped his experience in a recent column (item #7 from April 12, 2007 under the heading "My eight favorite things about the first week in baseball").
Tonight will be the first of (hopefully) many appearances on the show. Dave and I share a common sense of humor and have a similar take on Pittsburgh sports. If you like this site, then you'll probably enjoy what you hear.
