Star Wars episode II, Last Action Hero, and King Kong weren't that bad.

I'm not a Star Wars geek type, so I'm not being a Star Wars apologist, but I thought episode 2 was decent.... well, at least compared to episode 1.

Last Action Hero was supposed to be a spoof on 80s-style action movies, that's why it was kind of cheesey.

King Kong was a bit long for my tastes, but I didn't think it was necessarily bad.

By the way, the best part of that Godzilla movie (literally, not sarcastically) was the Rage Against the Machine song on the soundtrack.

Not only a good tune, but listen to the lyrics. The actually diss the movie the song's appearing on the soundtrack for. They denounce the movie by saying, "Godzilla, pure motherf-ckin filler!" That has to be a movie soundtrack first!!

"Pure motherf'n filler" does sum up the film quite nicely though.

I'm glad someone else finalyl said it...

It's the most ridiculous, far-fetched, over-the-too nonsensical plot, and if that wasn't enough, they had include a pathetic, ill-conceived tear-jerker element to this piece of dunk that made my then-girlfriend weep like a Dick Vermeil. Add to that the fact that Ben Affleck, aside from his performances in GOOD WILL HUNTING, BOILER ROOM, and MALL RATS, may very well be the kiss of death for any movie. Is it any wonder that he starred in two of the top four on this list?

OK, I'll stop my diatribe against all things Armageddon and leave you with the knowledge that I also hate JERRY MAGUIRE and RUDY on a similar level.

There's no way around it. Rudy was a phony.
